Fondly remembered as "sheep shit hill."
There is a staggeringly huge ditch that was dug, and then a large mound was formed on the outside of the ring. The standing stones and village are within the ring. There are sheep freely roaming everywhere, and you cannot take a step without stepping in their leavings. You can get something of an idea of the scale of this place - we are walking the top of the circular mound. The ditch is to our left. It's still very deep despite centuries of erosion.
